The Armed Forces Emergency Service Center at Fort Sill and its sister center in Washington, D.C. are open round-theclock to provide emergency communications-
birth, illness, death, and other emergencies—notifying service members and providing verification for emergency leave decisions. In addition, the AFESC cover various military aid society offices after normal business hours in making financial assistance available. Other services include health and welfare inquiries, information and referral. Call 442-2426 or

Great Plains Chapter

The Great Plains Chapter responds, round-the-clock, to provide immediate assistance to victims of disaster. Help includes temporary lodging, clothing, food and basic furnishing plus referrals for additional assistance. Education is another disaster service to help families prepare for disasters such as tornadoes, house fires, etc.

The chapter also provides 24-hour Armed Services Emergency Service to families living in our area. We assist with making sure messages are sent to deployed military personnel regarding emergency type situations. We also administer Health and Safety courses, which include CPR, First Aid, Babysitting, and Water Safety.

Volunteers are essential in providing programs and services and are provided free training. Office hours are Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., emergency service provided round-the-clock.
